Standardized testing aggregate results demonstrate that our students perform above grade level. However, we recognize that each student has their own learning style and aptitude. Our goal is not high testing scores, it is academic excellence and learning. It is important that students become proficient in fundamentals before moving on to concepts with higher degrees of complexity. Our smaller class sizes and multi-grade classrooms enable us to tailor lesson plans to your child’s level in any given subject.
Emphasis on fundamentals
In the lower grades, mastery of fundamentals is critical to future academic success. Emphasis is placed on formation of excellent reading and arithmetic skills as well as setting a firm foundation in many subjects, including STEM, Bible, history, and others. The Arts

Academic distinctives
After progress toward mastery of fundamentals begins, developing students start studies in Latin and, later on, logic. The proven benefits of studying these subjects may surprise you.
FLCS integrates the linear study of history with biblical history, since all things relate to Christ. Reading assignments, including original source documents and all types of literature, often relate to the period of history being studied.
We don't believe learning should be dull and dusty. We strive to make hard, important work enjoyable and full of "Aha!" moments of discovery.
Physical education
We value exercise and helping students develop physical fitness. Our excellent, unique physical education program teaches skills and activities that produce lifelong benefits.
