Intent

First Classical is committed to creating and atmosphere that promotes positive and appropriate behavior and attitudes, maximizes learning, and fosters growth in Christian character, wisdom, knowledge, and understanding. Appropriate dress contributes to the maintenance of this environment.

The final decision about uniform conformity will rest with the school administrator.

All grades

All uniform clothing, with exceptions for shoes, socks, ties, and belts, may be purchased from one of our suppliers:

Old Navy

Chapel uniform

Students must wear chapel uniform on Tuesdays and for most outings outside of the school.

  • Long or short sleeve navy blue polo shirt with logo

  • Traditional khaki slacks/shorts/skirts/skorts

  • navy blue polo dress with school logo

Performance uniform

For any scheduled performance all students must wear:

  • White, long sleeved button down oxford shirt (tucked in)

  • Black slacks (boys)/black skirt (girls)

  • Black socks (boys) /black footed tights (girls)

  • Black belt (if slacks/skirts have loops)

  • Black leather, or leather look oxfords (boys) or Mary Janes (girls)

  • Solid red tie (boys) or solid red crossover tie (girls)

Items which may be purchased from other suppliers:

Belts:

Black, solid (not braided) leather (or leather look) belts must be worn if loops are present.

Socks:

Solid black crew or knee length socks must be worn with all uniform combinations.

Girls only: solid black or white footed tights may be worn instead of socks, white knee length socks may be worn instead of black with dresses or skirts/skorts

Shoes:

Shoes for classroom and performance wear:

  • solid black leather, or faux leather (not suede or patent leather)

  • unembellished, no platforms, ½ inch or lower heel

  • must fit properly

  • girls wear mary-jane style

  • boys wear oxford style with laces 

Athletic shoes:

  • all students must have lace-up athletic shoes for recess and PE

  • shoes must not be light-up and must have non-marking soles appropriate for indoor or outdoor play (no wheels or other embellishments)

  • shoes are to be left at school during the school week
